Railway Photography by Mark Jamieson
Welcome
Welcome to my gallery.
-------------------------------------
Here you'll find a selection of my personal railway photographs taken over the last twenty six years or so. Whilst i have always enjoyed photography i don't claim to being a particularly good photographer, although i have tried where possible to give my best efforts. Unfortunately a lack of time, money and technology prevents me from doing more.

Towards the end of 2008 with a renewed interest and enthusiasm in railway photography i made a concious desicion to try and improve my photography. Most images will generally tend to be in my local area; Dorset or the neighbouring counties.

I am currently re-organising this site so certain images will be deleted or moved to other collections with revised captions added (as time permits).

'Heritage' shots were taken mainly with a Minolta X-300 35mm SLR. Early digital images were with a Kodak CX7300 'compact' camera. I am currently using a Fuji Finepix S6500fd 'bridge' camera, from December 2009 i shall be using a Canon EOS 40D (thanks RVM) with an EF-S 18-135mm IS lens. To scan slides and negatives i use an Epson Perfection V200.

Please feel free to leave comments (anything "pointless" will be deleted) and if you'd like more information on certain images drop me a line and i'll do my best to get back to you.

My thanks to all those who've contributed in any way to the site.

Thanks for taking the time to look. Hopefully there's something of interest for most visitors.

PLEASE NOTE:
Some pictures were taken on railway property with which i had authority to be there. If you're not allowed there then don't go there - railways are dangerous and can be fatal.
